S.M.A.R.T Family
Segregating Managing And Recycling Task

“Learning Proper Waste Segregation: An initiative for Saving the Mother Earth.”

Solid Waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 2000 is now compulsory. Segregation in simple language means separation of waste into DRY AND WET. Properly disposing-off the massive amount of garbage in an environmentally conscious manner is the most important thing.

We encourage families to become a S.M.A.R.T Family by segregating the waste properly through the door to door awareness programs conducted by children and volunteers. Dustbins are distributed to add more impact. Our Solid Waste Management in Ahmedabad program includes volunteers who inspire the residents to take a Pledge, which helps to keep the momentum.

Safai Kamdars, from this noble cause, have started earning 40% more by recycling the waste and using it for a better cause. It is like wealth from waste for our Safai Kamdars, which can contribute to their children’s education.
